God is Accessible

God’s Personality: Infinite and Knowable

“To all created intelligences God is a personality…” (1:2.1)

God is not a concept or an abstract force. He is a personality—and this is essential. Personality enables relationship, worship, communion, and love.

While His nature is infinite and beyond complete comprehension, God is personally accessible to all will creatures.

He reveals Himself to each being according to their capacity to receive Him.

Discrimination Intelligence

Discriminating between God qualified intuitions and feelings and thoughts versus humanly qualified ..

This is the fruit of your absorption into the Way.

As you enter into the Adjuster and the Way .. with the 12 Volitions .. so are your growing discernment intelligence and discriminating intelligence...

Ye shall ripen thyself upon the tree of existence...

You are becoming capable of perception and true insight .. capable of knowing and intuiting purely.

(1204.4)Today you are passing through the period of the courtship of your Adjuster; and if you only prove faithful to the trust reposed in you by the divine spirit who seeks your mind and soul in eternal union, there will eventually ensue that morontia oneness, that supernal harmony, that cosmic co-ordination, that divine attunement, that celestial fusion, that never-ending blending of identity, that oneness of being which is so perfect and final that even the most experienced personalities can never segregate or recognize as separate identities the fusion partners—mortal man and divine Adjuster.

It is their mission (the Adjuster of God) to effect such mind changes and to make such spiritual adjustments as you may willingly and intelligently authorize, to the end that they may gain more influence over the personality directionization; but under no circumstances do these divine Monitors ever take advantage of you or in any way arbitrarily influence you in your choices and decisions. The Adjusters respect your sovereignty of personality; they are always subservient to your will.

They are persistent, ingenious, and perfect in their methods of work, but they never do violence to the volitional selfhood of their hosts. No human being will ever be spiritualized by a divine Monitor against his will; survival is a gift of the Gods which must be desired by the creatures of time. In the final analysis, whatever the Adjuster has succeeded in doing for you, the records will show that the transformation has been accomplished with your co-operative consent; you will have been a willing partner with the Adjuster in the attainment of every step of the tremendous transformation of the ascension career.

The Adjuster is not trying to control your thinking, as such, but rather to spiritualize it, to eternalize it.

The Avenues of Exhilarating Joy

Pathwork Lecture 218, titled "The Evolutionary Process of Becoming," delves into the profound nature of human development and transformation. It explores the journey of self-realization, divine connection, and personal responsibility as essential aspects of spiritual growth.

The lecture emphasizes that becoming our true selves is not an instant event but an evolutionary process—a gradual unfolding that requires dedication, self-awareness, and a willingness to confront inner resistance.

The Journey of Becoming

At the core of this teaching is the understanding that every human being is in a state of becoming—a continuous movement toward the realization of divine consciousness. Many individuals struggle with the tension between who they are now and who they are meant to be. This struggle creates inner conflicts, suffering, and illusions, which obscure the deeper truth of their existence. However, rather than viewing these challenges as obstacles, Pathwork Lecture 218 teaches that they are essential components of the journey. Each difficulty or pain point presents an opportunity to awaken, expand, and evolve.

This concept of becoming is not limited to the spiritual realm; it applies to every aspect of human life—our emotions, relationships, and daily experiences. The lecture emphasizes that spiritual evolution is not separate from material existence but is woven into every thought, action, and interaction. True transformation does not occur through avoidance or repression but through engaging fully with life, embracing both light and shadow with equal openness.

Overcoming Resistance to Change

One of the greatest challenges in the process of becoming is inner resistance. The lecture explains that human beings, out of fear, attachment, or conditioning, often cling to outdated beliefs, negative patterns, or false identities. Even when the conscious mind desires transformation, the unconscious may resist change, fearing the unknown. This resistance manifests in different ways—self-sabotage, procrastination, anxiety, or an overwhelming sense of powerlessness.

Pathwork 218 teaches that rather than fighting against resistance, we must learn to understand it, dialogue with it, and transform it. This requires deep self-honesty:

What fears hold me back?

What limiting beliefs do I still carry?

In what ways do I resist my own evolution?

Through sincere self-inquiry, individuals can begin to loosen the grip of their inner resistance, allowing the energy of becoming to flow more freely. The lecture encourages trust in the process—accepting that growth happens at the right time, in the right way, when one is ready to fully embrace it.

The Role of Love and Truth

A central teaching in Pathwork 218 is that love and truth are the guiding forces in the process of becoming. Without truth, transformation is superficial; without love, it is rigid and lifeless. Truth provides clarity and direction, while love nurtures and heals. Together, they create the fertile ground for authentic evolution.

The lecture stresses that self-deception is one of the greatest obstacles to growth. Many people are trapped in illusions—about themselves, others, and the world—because they fear facing the deeper reality of their own soul. However, genuine self-realization can only occur when one is willing to embrace the truth, no matter how uncomfortable or painful it may be. This requires humility, courage, and a willingness to surrender to a higher wisdom.

At the same time, truth must always be balanced with love and compassion. Without love, truth can become harsh, judgmental, or punitive. The process of becoming is not about self-punishment but about self-acceptance—seeing oneself honestly while also recognizing the inherent divine perfection within. The more one integrates love and truth, the more they align with the flow of universal intelligence, accelerating their journey toward full self-realization.

The Power of Choice and Responsibility

Pathwork 218 highlights the fundamental role of personal choice in the process of becoming. While external circumstances may shape experiences, each person has the power to choose how they respond, how they grow, and how they align with divine truth. The lecture teaches that no one is a passive victim of fate; rather, every individual is an active co-creator of their destiny.

This means taking full responsibility for one's thoughts, emotions, and actions. It involves recognizing that:

Every reaction and experience holds a deeper lesson.

Blaming others or external circumstances only keeps one stuck.

The power to change is always within, waiting to be activated.

When one fully embraces self-responsibility, life ceases to be random or chaotic. Instead, it becomes a meaningful, guided journey, where every event—no matter how difficult—serves as a stepping stone toward greater awakening.

Surrender and Trust in the Divine Flow

While personal responsibility is crucial, Pathwork 218 also teaches that becoming is not purely a self-driven effort; it requires surrendering to the divine flow. True transformation happens when one stops forcing, controlling, or resisting and instead allows divine intelligence to guide the process.

This does not mean passivity but rather active trust—a deep knowing that:

The universe is always working in alignment with one’s highest good.

Every challenge contains a hidden gift.

Letting go of control allows miracles to unfold.

Through surrender, one moves beyond the limited perception of the ego and aligns with the infinite wisdom of creation. This state of trust allows for deep inner peace, effortless flow, and a profound sense of unity with the divine.

Conclusion: The Eternal Unfolding

Pathwork Lecture 218 reveals that the process of becoming is eternal—there is no final destination, only an ever-expanding realization of divine truth. The more one embraces this process, the more joy, freedom, and fulfillment emerge. By cultivating self-awareness, overcoming resistance, aligning with love and truth, taking responsibility, and surrendering to divine flow, individuals can fully engage in the sacred journey of becoming.

Ultimately, this lecture serves as a reminder that transformation is not something to fear but something to welcome. It is through embracing the unknown, trusting the process, and stepping into the fullness of one’s being that the soul fulfills its highest purpose.

The Thought Adjuster of Paradise

Delving Deeper into The Urantia Book, Paper 115: "The Supreme Being"

Paper 115 of The Urantia Book is a profound exploration of the Supreme Being as an evolving deity, growing in response to the experiences of all finite creatures. This paper explains the nature of finite reality, the relationship between potential and actual existence, and how the Supreme unifies all of creation into a single divine expression.

The Three Levels of Reality

The Urantia Book describes reality as existing on three fundamental levels. The first is the Absolute level, where God the Father, the Eternal Son, and the Infinite Spirit exist as changeless, eternal, and self-existent beings. The second is the Finite level, which consists of evolving beings, material universes, and celestial personalities. The third is The Supreme, who is the unifying deity of all finite experiences. The Supreme Being is neither absolute nor infinite but is instead becoming—gradually taking form as the grand universe evolves.

The Supreme functions as a bridge between the absolute and finite levels. He represents the unfolding of divine reality within time and space, integrating the struggles, choices, and achievements of all beings into a unified divine expression. This makes Him different from the Universal Father, who exists beyond time and space in a state of absolute perfection.

The Nature of Potential and Actual Reality

In The Urantia Book, all reality exists in two states: potential and actual. The Universal Father contains all things in potential form, and through experience, the universes gradually bring this potential into actual reality. The Supreme Being is the evolving manifestation of this process.

A helpful analogy is that of a cosmic puzzle. Each finite experience, whether from a human, an angel, or a celestial being, is a piece of this puzzle. As time progresses and beings make moral and spiritual decisions, the Supreme gradually takes on a more complete and fully actualized form. Since the Supreme is still evolving, His sovereignty and personality are not yet fully realized.

The Supreme as the Unifier of Experience

A central role of the Supreme Being is to integrate and unify all finite experience. Every spiritual choice, intellectual pursuit, and physical evolution contributes to the growing Supreme. The Supreme is not merely an observer of creation; He is an active participant, absorbing and reflecting the total progress of time-space reality.

Each time a mortal being struggles toward truth, beauty, and goodness, it strengthens the Supreme. The collective experiences of human civilizations, celestial beings, and universe administrators are woven into the Supreme’s divine reality. The Supreme is thus the sum of all finite experience—the evolving, experiential expression of God in time and space.

The Almighty Supreme and the Actualization of Power

Although the Supreme Being is still emerging, The Urantia Book teaches that He will one day fully actualize as the Almighty Supreme, assuming direct sovereignty over the grand universe. At present, the Supreme is growing in spiritual power, but He does not yet have full control over finite universes. However, once the seven superuniverses reach a state of completion, the Supreme will exercise full divine authority.

At that point, the two aspects of the Supreme—His spiritual personality and His physical cosmic power—will merge. The Almighty Supreme represents the full realization of His cosmic sovereignty, while the Supreme Personality reflects His divine nature. This is an ongoing process, but once completed, the Supreme will function as the sovereign ruler of all finite creation.

Human Contribution to the Supreme’s Growth

One of the most unique teachings of The Urantia Book is that human beings directly participate in the growth of the Supreme. Every moral choice, act of love, and spiritual struggle adds to His evolution. When a mortal being chooses righteousness over selfishness, that experience becomes part of the Supreme’s reality.

Humans and other finite beings are, in a sense, co-creators of the Supreme. Our experiences contribute to His growth, and in return, the Supreme provides a growing sense of divine unity and meaning to all evolving beings. As we advance spiritually, we are not only progressing toward God, but we are also helping God become more fully realized in the universe.

The Future Destiny of the Supreme

Once the Supreme Being is fully actualized, He will take His place as the sovereign ruler of the perfected grand universe. At this point, all beings who have reached spiritual perfection will be able to experience the Supreme as a fully developed deity. This marks a significant shift in universal history, as perfected beings will then engage in new cosmic adventures beyond the grand universe.

The completion of the Supreme’s evolution will open new dimensions of divine experience for all created beings. Just as today’s ascenders seek to know God the Father, future perfected beings will seek to understand and experience the fully realized Supreme Being. This marks the next stage of spiritual progression in the vast, unfolding plan of God.

Conclusion

Paper 115 presents a revolutionary idea: the Supreme Being is not yet fully God—He is evolving. Unlike the Universal Father, who exists eternally in perfection, the Supreme is becoming perfect through the collective experiences of all finite beings. He is the divine synthesis of all time-space experience, absorbing every struggle, victory, and growth into His unfolding personality.

This means that your life, your choices, and your spiritual progress have a cosmic impact. Every act of truth, love, and goodness adds to the Supreme’s development. In a profound way, human beings are not just seeking God—they are helping to shape God’s evolving expression in the universe.

Christ Michael

The Supreme God

The Supreme as the Totality of Finite Experience

The Urantia Book states:
“The Supreme Being is God in time and space; he is the totality of finite experience, the resultant of the sum total of all finite evolution.” (115:3.1)

This means that the Supreme is not separate from creation—He is growing with creation. Every spiritual discovery, intellectual achievement, and evolutionary advancement contributes to His development. Unlike the Universal Father, who exists in absolute perfection beyond time and space, the Supreme is God as revealed through the unfolding process of finite existence.

In this sense, the Supreme is the divine sum of all evolving experience. His reality is shaped by the moral and spiritual progress of human beings, celestial personalities, and the larger cosmic order. Every decision made by finite creatures adds to His emerging presence in the universe.

2. The Supreme as an Evolving and Growing Deity

Another key idea in this section is that the Supreme Being is in a process of becoming. He is not yet fully realized, and His sovereignty is still growing. The universe itself is unfinished, and as the grand universe moves toward completion, the Supreme is also approaching full actualization.

This means that the Supreme is unique among the deities described in The Urantia Book. The Universal Father, Eternal Son, and Infinite Spirit exist as eternal and changeless beings, but the Supreme is different—He grows, changes, and expands as finite creatures evolve.

The Supreme’s growth is directly linked to the spiritual progress of time-space beings. This is why the concept of free will and personal choice is so important. Every moral decision made by a human being—whether for truth, beauty, and goodness or for selfishness and evil—impacts the growth of the Supreme.

“The growth of the Supreme is predicated on the activity of divinity in time and space.” (115:3.2)

This statement suggests that the Supreme Being cannot grow independently—His development depends on the evolution of finite creation. The Supreme does not exist apart from experience but instead emerges from it.

3. The Supreme as the Divine Unifier of Experience

One of the Supreme’s most important roles is to unify all finite experiences into a single divine reality. In time-space, reality is fragmented—there are billions of individual beings, each with unique experiences and spiritual journeys. The Supreme acts as the cosmic integrator, merging all these experiences into a unified whole.

The physical realm of evolving universes contributes to the Almighty Supreme, the cosmic aspect of His being.

The intellectual and spiritual experiences of finite creatures contribute to the personal aspect of the Supreme.

The cooperation of celestial administrators and divine beings contributes to His growing sovereignty.

Over time, these aspects of the Supreme will merge, culminating in a fully actualized divine being who embodies the totality of all finite experience. The Supreme is thus both the evolving destiny of finite creation and the divine unifier of all cosmic growth.

4. The Supreme’s Future Role as Sovereign of the Grand Universe

Since the Supreme is still evolving, He does not yet rule the universe in full sovereignty. However, The Urantia Book states that when the grand universe (the seven superuniverses plus Havona) is perfected, the Supreme will fully emerge as a sovereign deity.

“When the evolutionary universes are perfected, the Supreme Being will function as the experiential sovereign of the grand universe.” (115:3.6)

At this point, the Supreme will no longer be merely growing and evolving—He will become a fully actualized deity, exercising direct authority over the completed creation. This marks the transition of the Supreme from an emerging presence to an established divine ruler.

This future event will represent the completion of the grand universe’s evolutionary purpose, after which the Supreme will take on new divine responsibilities in the outer space levels—regions beyond the current known universe.

5. The Role of Finite Beings in the Supreme’s Growth

Since the Supreme’s evolution depends on finite experiences, every human being plays a direct role in His development. This means that our spiritual struggles, moral victories, and decisions in life contribute to the Supreme’s realization.

When a person chooses love over selfishness, the Supreme grows.

When a society progresses in wisdom and cooperation, the Supreme expands.

When civilizations advance in truth, beauty, and goodness, the Supreme takes on greater cosmic significance.

The Urantia Book presents this as a divine partnership—humans help shape God, and God helps shape humans. This is a radical concept, suggesting that divinity is not something static or separate from us but rather something that evolves through us.

Because of this, humans are not just seeking God; they are actively participating in the growth of God’s presence within the universe. The Supreme is the culmination of all human and celestial experiences, and our personal contributions help bring about His ultimate emergence.

Conclusion
Section 115:3 of The Urantia Book presents the Supreme Being as the totality of finite experience, an evolving deity who grows as the universe advances. Unlike the Universal Father, who is already perfect and infinite, the Supreme is a work in progress, still in the process of becoming fully sovereign.

The Supreme acts as the great cosmic unifier, integrating all spiritual progress, intellectual achievement, and physical evolution into a singular divine reality. He is God in time and space, and His growth depends on the choices and experiences of all finite creatures.

Eventually, the Supreme will fully emerge as the sovereign ruler of the grand universe, but until then, He continues to evolve alongside humanity and all created beings. This means that our actions have cosmic significance—every choice for truth, beauty, and goodness contributes to the actualization of the Supreme Being Himself.

Thus, we are not just living our individual lives—we are helping to shape the very destiny of God within time.

The Living God

The Living Reality of Communion with God
Communion with the Universal Father is not a ritual, a practice confined to religious settings, or a distant spiritual ideal—it is a living, personal relationship with God, unfolding in real time, within the depths of the human soul. This communion is not bound by location, culture, or external traditions; rather, it is an ever-present experience that grows and deepens as the soul learns to trust, surrender, and align with divine reality.

At its core, communion with God is the conscious awareness of His presence, a continuous dialogue between the mortal mind and the divine spirit within. It is an active participation in the universal flow of divine love, where the soul ceases to feel separate from its divine Source and instead learns to live in harmony with the eternal will of the Father.

This communion is not static—it is an evolving experience. As the individual progresses spiritually, their awareness of God expands, their capacity to receive divine love increases, and their ability to express God’s qualities in daily life deepens.

Living in Faith: Trusting Divine Love in All Circumstances
To commune with God is to live in faith—to trust that, no matter the external circumstances, one is always upheld by divine love. True faith is not belief without evidence—it is a living trust, an unshakable confidence that the Father’s presence is real, active, and guiding all things toward goodness.

Faith does not remove difficulties, but it transforms how one experiences them. The faith-anchored soul:

Faces challenges with courage, knowing that every trial is an opportunity for spiritual growth.

Remains steady in uncertainty, because trust in God is greater than fear of the unknown.

Sees divine purpose in all things, even when circumstances seem chaotic.

Jesus Michael lived by this kind of faith—an absolute, unwavering trust in the Father’s plan, even when confronted with betrayal, suffering, and death. His faith was the foundation of his unbreakable peace, the reason he could love unconditionally, serve tirelessly, and remain serene even in the face of injustice.

To live in faith is to carry this same confidence, to walk through life knowing that, no matter what happens, God is present, God is guiding, and God’s love is the eternal reality beneath all things.

Acting with Integrity: Becoming a Living Reflection of God
Communion with God is not just about experiencing divine presence—it is about expressing divine qualities. Those who truly seek the Father do not simply absorb His love; they become vessels of that love in the world.

To commune with God is to act with integrity—to choose righteousness even when it is difficult, to embody truth even when it is unpopular, to live with kindness and mercy even in the face of hardship.

Integrity means:
Choosing love over selfishness.

Speaking truth, even when silence is easier.

Uplifting others, even when it comes at personal cost.

Serving, not out of obligation, but as an expression of divine partnership.

This is the highest form of communion—to live so closely aligned with God that His love naturally flows through one’s actions, words, and presence.

The Transformative Power of True Communion
Communion with God is not passive—it transforms the soul. It is not simply about feeling close to God in private moments; it is about becoming a living reflection of divine love, patience, wisdom, and mercy.

The one who communes deeply with God becomes more peaceful, radiating serenity in all situations.

The one who communes deeply with God gains divine insight, seeing life through the lens of eternal truth.

The one who communes deeply with God becomes a source of light for others, drawing them toward spiritual reality.

True communion reshapes identity, aligning the self not with ego, fear, or worldly concerns, but with the eternal purpose of the Universal Father. It awakens the divine potential within, bringing the soul ever closer to its ultimate destiny of spiritual perfection.

Entering More Deeply

To delve deeper into Urantia Paper 1, "The Universal Father," it's essential to understand that it sets the stage for the book's comprehensive cosmology and philosophy.

Here's a breakdown of key concepts:
The Nature of God: The paper moves beyond traditional theological concepts by presenting God as a personal being, the Universal Father. This emphasizes a relational aspect of God, a being who desires connection with his creation. It stresses God's omnipresence, not just as a force, but as a personality that pervades all of reality. This includes the indwelling presence of "Thought Adjusters" within human minds, which are fragments of God's own spirit. The concept of God as the "First Source and Center" signifies that all things, whether material, mental, or spiritual, originate from him.

The Paradise Trinity: The Trinity—the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, and the Infinite Spirit—is presented as the core of divine reality. This is not simply a theological doctrine, but a functional description of how divine reality operates. Each member of the Trinity plays a distinct role in the creation and administration of the universe. Understanding the Trinity is crucial for grasping the Urantia Book's cosmology, as it explains the interconnectedness of all things.

The Isle of Paradise: This is the literal center of the universe, the stationary source of all energy and personality. It's not just a physical location, but a symbol of the absolute stability and perfection of God. The concept of Paradise underscores the Urantia Book's emphasis on a structured and purposeful universe.

Divine Love and Personality: The paper emphasizes that God's love is the driving force behind creation. This love is not conditional but extends to all beings. The concept of personality is central to the Urantia Book. It asserts that personality is a divine gift, and that the purpose of existence is to develop and perfect that personality. The idea that God is a father, gives a very personal relationship to the divine.

Implications for Human Existence: Paper 1 lays the foundation for understanding humanity's place in the universe. It suggests that humans are part of a vast and ongoing spiritual journey. The presence of Thought Adjusters implies that every human being has a direct connection to God and a potential for spiritual growth.

The book presents a very optimistic view of the potential of human spiritual progression. In essence, Urantia Paper 1 provides a foundational understanding of the nature of God and the structure of the universe, setting the stage for the more detailed revelations that follow in the Urantia Book.

Holy City Of God

Revelations of Grandeur

Urantia Paper 1, "The Universal Father," introduces the concept of God as the First Source and Center of all creation. It posits that God is the ultimate reality, the origin of all existence, and the eternal parent of all personalities. This Father is not a distant or abstract entity but a personal God, possessing will, mind, and spirit, and actively involved in the affairs of the universe. The paper emphasizes God's threefold nature: as the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, and the Infinite Spirit. These three constitute the Paradise Trinity, representing the foundational structure of reality.

The Universal Father is described as the source of personality and the giver of the Thought Adjusters, divine fragments that reside within human minds, guiding them towards spiritual growth and eventual union with God. Central to the concept of the Universal Father is his infinite love. This love is not conditional or limited but extends to all creatures throughout the vast universe.

The paper highlights God's desire for all his children to know him and to achieve their full spiritual potential. This divine love is the driving force behind the universe's evolutionary ascent and the ongoing efforts of celestial beings to guide and uplift creation. Furthermore, Paper 1 discusses the concept of the "Isle of Paradise," the central and eternal abode of the Universal Father and the Paradise Trinity. This island is the absolute center of all creation, both material and spiritual, and the source of all energy and personality. It serves as the ultimate destination for ascending mortals who achieve perfection and seek to draw closer to God.

In essence, Urantia Paper 1 lays the groundwork for the entire Urantia Book by establishing the foundational concept of a personal and loving God who is the source of all existence. It presents a universe governed by divine purpose and filled with opportunities for spiritual growth and eternal progression, all centered around the Universal Father's infinite love and his desire for his children to achieve ultimate union with him.

The Universal Father

The Urantia Book

Paper 1

The Universal Father

THE Universal Father is the God of all creation, the First Source and Center of all things and beings. First think of God as a creator, then as a controller, and lastly as an infinite upholder. The truth about the Universal Father had begun to dawn upon mankind when the prophet said: “You, God, are alone; there is none beside you. You have created the heaven and the heaven of heavens, with all their hosts; you preserve and control them.

By the Sons of God were the universes made. The Creator covers himself with light as with a garment and stretches out the heavens as a curtain.”

Only the concept of the Universal Father—one God in the place of many gods—enabled mortal man to comprehend the Father as divine creator and infinite controller.

The myriads of planetary systems were all made to be eventually inhabited by many different types of intelligent creatures, beings who could know God, receive the divine affection, and love him in return.

The universe of universes is the work of God and the dwelling place of his diverse creatures. “God created the heavens and formed the earth; he established the universe and created this world not in vain; he formed it to be inhabited.”

The enlightened worlds all recognize and worship the Universal Father, the eternal maker and infinite upholder of all creation. The will creatures of universe upon universe have embarked upon the long, long Paradise journey, the fascinating struggle of the eternal adventure of attaining God the Father. The transcendent goal of the children of time is to find the eternal God, to comprehend the divine nature, to recognize the Universal Father.

God-knowing creatures have only one supreme ambition, just one consuming desire, and that is to become, as they are in their spheres, like him as he is in his Paradise perfection of personality and in his universal sphere of righteous supremacy. From the Universal Father who inhabits eternity there has gone forth the supreme mandate, “Be you perfect, even as I am perfect.”

In love and mercy the messengers of Paradise have carried this divine exhortation down through the ages and out through the universes, even to such lowly animal-origin creatures as the human races of Urantia.

This magnificent and universal injunction to strive for the attainment of the perfection of divinity is the first duty, and should be the highest ambition, of all the struggling creature creation of the God of perfection. This possibility of the attainment of divine perfection is the final and certain destiny of all man’s eternal spiritual progress.

Urantia mortals can hardly hope to be perfect in the infinite sense, but it is entirely possible for human beings, starting out as they do on this planet, to attain the supernal and divine goal which the infinite God has set for mortal man; and when they do achieve this destiny, they will, in all that pertains to self-realization and mind attainment, be just as replete in their sphere of divine perfection as God himself is in his sphere of infinity and eternity.

Such perfection may not be universal in the material sense, unlimited in intellectual grasp, or final in spiritual experience, but it is final and complete in all finite aspects of divinity of will, perfection of personality motivation, and God-consciousness.

This is the true meaning of that divine command, “Be you perfect, even as I am perfect,” which ever urges mortal man onward and beckons him inward in that long and fascinating struggle for the attainment of higher and higher levels of spiritual values and true universe meanings.

This sublime search for the God of universes is the supreme adventure of the inhabitants of all the worlds of time and space.

Daily Considerations

A Message of New Confidence and True Consolation for All, Even the Poor

Jesus Michael’s gospel brings a message of new confidence and deep consolation to all people, especially those who feel forgotten, oppressed, or insignificant. Before his teachings, many live under the burden of social inequality, religious oppression, and economic hardship, believing that their worth is tied to their status, wealth, or adherence to rigid religious laws. Society often places the wealthy, the educated, and the powerful at the center of religious and social privilege, leaving the poor and marginalized feeling unworthy of divine love. Jesus Michael shatters this perspective, declaring that all people, regardless of their circumstances, are equal in the sight of God and have direct access to the kingdom of heaven.

The gospel of the kingdom does not discriminate between rich and poor, powerful and weak. Instead, it proclaims that the true measure of a person’s worth lies not in material possessions but in their relationship with God. Jesus Michael teaches that divine love is not earned through wealth, religious status, or social privilege, but is freely given to all who seek it with sincerity. The poor, the suffering, and the downtrodden receive a special assurance in his message—one that removes the shame and despair often associated with economic or social hardship. No longer are they to see themselves as less valuable, for in the kingdom of God, every child of the Father is treasured and uplifted.

This message fills people with confidence, particularly those who have long been told they are unworthy. Instead of living in self-doubt or submission to an unjust system, they begin to realize their divine potential. Jesus Michael teaches that faith, righteousness, and love are the true measures of greatness, not wealth or status. Those who embrace this new confidence experience an inner transformation—they no longer define themselves by their hardships, but by their eternal significance as children of God. This spiritual awakening gives them strength, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose.

At the same time, this gospel provides profound consolation to those who suffer from loss, injustice, or oppression. Jesus Michael does not promise an escape from hardship, but he offers something greater—the assurance that God’s love is always present, that suffering is temporary, and that eternal life awaits beyond this world. This reframes the struggles of daily life into opportunities for spiritual growth. The poor are not forgotten, the suffering are not abandoned, and those who feel powerless are actually closer to divine strength than they realize.

Applying this teaching today means recognizing that worth is not determined by external circumstances, but by one’s faith and character. It calls for a shift in perspective, where believers stop measuring success by material wealth and instead see the eternal value in kindness, service, and faithfulness. It also challenges societal norms, urging people to uplift those who are marginalized and treat all people with dignity and respect. When individuals accept this message of confidence, they stop comparing themselves to others, let go of self-doubt, and embrace their role in the divine plan.

Ultimately, Jesus Michael’s gospel redefines human value. It reminds people that no matter how lowly they feel, no matter how difficult their circumstances, they are infinitely loved, eternally significant, and destined for something greater. The kingdom of God belongs to those who have faith, and that faith transforms fear into confidence and sorrow into joy.

Proclamation Divine

The Meaning of Earthly Life in Light of Eternity

Understanding that eternity is the outgrowth of righteous earthly striving imbues every aspect of life with new meaning and purpose. No longer is suffering seen as pointless, nor is sacrifice regarded as wasted effort. When viewed through the lens of spiritual progress, even life’s difficulties become essential parts of the soul’s training, preparing individuals for higher responsibilities and greater spiritual understanding. The hardships that once seemed unfair now appear as opportunities for growth, and the struggles of daily life become a sacred process of refinement.

Jesus Michael teaches that no effort toward righteousness is ever lost. Even the smallest act of kindness, the quietest moment of faith, or the simplest choice to uphold truth has cosmic significance. The development of the soul is not measured by worldly success, but by the expansion of love, wisdom, and moral courage. What appears insignificant in the material world can hold profound spiritual weight, shaping the eternal identity of an individual in ways that cannot yet be fully understood.

This realization liberates individuals from the fear of insignificance. Many people wonder if their efforts matter, if their sacrifices make a difference, or if their struggles are seen by God. Jesus Michael assures them that every righteous choice ripples into eternity, that their spiritual progress is actively shaping their future, and that their faithfulness is aligning them with the divine will in ways that will one day be revealed.

The Cosmic Implications of Spiritual Growth

Jesus Michael’s teaching also expands human perspective beyond Earthly life, encouraging individuals to see themselves as part of a vast, evolving universe filled with meaning, opportunity, and purpose. The kingdom of God is not just about personal salvation; it is about becoming a conscious participant in the divine administration of the cosmos. Those who develop spiritually in this life will continue their journey of growth and service in the ages to come, contributing to the unfolding of divine realities in ways beyond human comprehension.

This understanding inspires a higher standard of living. Knowing that life is the beginning of an eternal adventure, people are encouraged to live with greater integrity, compassion, and spiritual focus. The pursuit of righteousness is no longer seen as a burden but as a privilege, a way to align with the divine plan and step into one’s full spiritual potential.

Living with an Eternal Perspective

To fully embrace this teaching, individuals must shift their mindset from short-term thinking to an eternal perspective. Instead of making choices based solely on comfort, convenience, or personal gain, they must begin to evaluate their actions in terms of their lasting spiritual impact. Every interaction, every challenge, every relationship becomes an opportunity for soul growth.

Practical ways to live this truth include:

Prioritizing spiritual development over material accumulation.

Viewing challenges as opportunities to strengthen faith and character.

Committing to lifelong learning in wisdom, truth, and service.

Practicing love and compassion as the highest form of righteousness.

Trusting that every act of goodness contributes to one’s eternal progress.

Ultimately, Jesus Michael calls humanity to embrace their noble destiny, to recognize that life on Earth is not an isolated existence but part of an expansive, eternal journey. The pursuit of righteousness is not merely for this world—it is the very preparation for the endless realities of the next. Through faith, love, and perseverance, individuals lay the foundation for their eternal identity, stepping into the vast and beautiful purpose designed for them by God.
Jesus Michael’s gospel proclaims the supremacy of the spiritual over the material, redefining human priorities and reshaping how people understand success, fulfillment, and reality itself. In a world where material wealth, physical security, and power often dominate human concerns, Jesus Michael shifts the focus to spiritual growth, divine truth, and eternal values. He teaches that while material possessions, social status, and earthly achievements hold temporary significance, it is the development of the soul, the pursuit of truth, and the deepening of one’s relationship with God that define a person’s ultimate purpose.

This teaching does not reject the material world outright but rather places it in proper perspective. Jesus Michael acknowledges that people have physical needs and that material concerns are a natural part of life. However, he emphasizes that these things should never become the primary pursuit of existence. A person who accumulates wealth but neglects their spiritual life is ultimately impoverished, whereas someone who prioritizes the development of their soul is truly rich in eternal value. The material world serves a purpose, but it is meant to support spiritual progress, not replace it.

To illustrate this principle, Jesus Michael warns against the dangers of materialism—the tendency to become overly attached to wealth, possessions, and social standing. He observes that people often strive for external security, believing that money, power, or influence will bring lasting peace and happiness. However, he reveals that true security comes only from faith in God and alignment with divine will. Material wealth can disappear in an instant, but spiritual riches endure forever. Those who anchor their happiness in material things will eventually face disappointment, while those who build their lives on spiritual foundations will find lasting joy and inner peace.

Jesus Michael’s gospel glorifies spiritual realities as the highest form of existence. He teaches that qualities such as love, truth, beauty, goodness, mercy, and faith are more real and enduring than any physical possession. Unlike material objects, which decay and fade over time, spiritual realities grow, expand, and deepen through experience and sincere effort. The pursuit of these higher ideals lifts the human soul beyond temporary concerns and connects it to the eternal nature of God. By aligning with divine truth and living in harmony with spiritual values, individuals experience a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment that transcends any earthly pleasure.

Additionally, Jesus Michael exalts superhuman ideals, calling people to reach beyond themselves and strive for a higher way of being. This means seeking wisdom over ignorance, love over selfishness, and service over personal ambition. He challenges individuals to cultivate spiritual maturity, to see beyond immediate gratification, and to work toward a greater, eternal destiny. Rather than being satisfied with the material comforts of life, he encourages people to aspire to a life of spiritual meaning, moral excellence, and divine purpose.

In practice, this teaching calls for a shift in perspective and priorities. It invites people to examine whether they spend more time and energy accumulating material wealth or developing their spiritual character. It asks whether they value power and status over humility and service. Living by this principle means making decisions that prioritize spiritual growth, relationships, and the well-being of others over personal gain. It means seeking truth, practicing kindness, and dedicating oneself to a higher purpose rather than being consumed by material pursuits.

Ultimately, the pre-eminence of the spiritual over the material is about aligning life with eternal values rather than temporary rewards. It is a call to invest in the soul, nurture faith, and cultivate a connection with God that transcends the fleeting nature of worldly concerns. Jesus Michael’s gospel does not ask people to abandon the material world but rather to see it as a tool for spiritual progress rather than an end in itself. By embracing this truth, individuals rise above the limitations of the physical world and walk confidently toward their divine destiny.
